Experience & Skills
• Operate, maintain, and support network infrastructure across data centers, disaster recovery sites, and user buildings.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex routing, switching, and network performance issues using tools such as Wireshark, tcpdump, and network simulators.
• Develop and implement network automation scripts and workflows using Python, Ansible, and Terraform.
• Ensure network stability, security, and performance for all systems, including cloud services and DR sites.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align network operations with organizational goals.
• Maintain technical documentation and network diagrams.
• Conduct proof-of-concepts for emerging network, security, and cloud technologies.
• Participate in on-call rotations and provide 24/7 support as needed.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Communication Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in network engineering and architecture, including carrier IP networks and cloud environments.
• 7+ years of experience with IP networking (Ethernet, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, Layer 2 switching, VRFs).
• Expertise in troubleshooting complex routing and switching problems.
• Proficient in Linux and core network services (DNS, SMTP, NTP, syslog, HTTP).
• Skilled in network programming and automation using Python or shell scripting.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPBGP, MPLS), IPv6, multicast, QoS, VPNs, and VPLS.
• Strong understanding of network security, including firewalls, DDOS mitigation, IPS, and malware detection.
• Familiarity with SDN, NFV, SD-WAN, and designing scalable, secure internet backbone networks.
• Cisco or Juniper ‘E’ level certifications preferred; additional security and VoIP certifications are a plus (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, JNCIS, JNCIP, JNCIE).
